Sun, 9 November 2008 Praying for Sin The president of my ordaining congregation wanted me to have a long career so he warned me to: "pray for sin so you will always be in business" Many years of ministry later, I have come to see that behind his quip, there lies an ironic and iconic truth, namely that we have built much of our lives upon the negative, upon our view of the world as divided and degraded.
